A phrase that I often tell my yoga students is to "find your edge in the pose" which I am referring to keeping the integrity of the pose and move yourself a little deeper than you might normally to experiment with what is new in the pose for you. Yesterday I ventured out into the wilds of Vermont with my son who taught me how to ice climb. I was finding my edge in almost every aspect of this adventure! I was scared, excited, curious and invigorated all at once. I had to keep reminding myself to breathe and think about ways to conserve energy. Nature is always such a good teacher of the yoga lessons that I teach. The teacher becomes the student!
